WORD SQUARES
Human
beings have always been fascinated by the square. In ancient times magical
properties were attributed to the square. Some words that can function as noun,
verb, adjective and adverb without any change were called word squares. In our
book the word square is a simple crossword puzzle where the horizontal solution
is exactly the same as the vertical solution.
c y s t

t
All the
letters that are needed to complete the solution are given in alphabetical
order. The letter that is in bold can be written into the first square.
Eliminate the letters as you use them.
The great
thing about Word Squares is that you will know at once whether you solved the
puzzle correctly. If the vertical solution and the horizontal solution
correspond every time, the solution is correct.
